NATIONAL AGE GROUP U17 GIRLS & BOYS QUALIFIERS THIS WEEKEND AT GRANTHAM MERES POOL….

This weekend 23rd & 24th April sees the start of the NAG’s qualifiers for our U17 Boys & Girls…

On Saturday our Girls start their quest to be crowned the 2022 NAG’s U17’s Champions as they are drawn in Group A alongside Grantham, City of Manchester, City of Sheffield & West London Penguins.

With ten teams entered in this year’s Championship split into two groups consisting of five in each group, Watford will need to finish in the top two in Group A to qualify for the final Four and reach the Finals on the 7th & 8th May at the Liverpool Aquatic Centre.
The other five teams in Group B will be: Cheltenham, Croydon, Devonport, City of Liverpool & Worthing.

Our Girls start their campaign at 14.30pm with a game against Manchester followed by Sheffield at 15.30pm, WL Penguins at 17.00pm & finish off against local club side Grantham at 18.00pm.

The opening game against Manchester could be the deciding game of who finishes in the top two of Group B, a very exciting opening game.

Our Girls squad for Saturday's four games is:
Christina English, Sofia Galati, Kirsten Pender, Jessica Tumks, Holi Bhudia, Tope Fetuga, Eve Barnes, Ellie Merrit, Caitlin Winkworth, Lara Atkinson, Emily Payne, Mackenzie Holt.

Our Boys U17’s team also start their campaign on the Sunday again at Grantham Meres Pool.

Drawn in Group B alongside teams from Birmingham, Grantham, City of Manchester, North London & City of Sheffield the top two side will progress to the “Final Four” again to be played on the 7th & 8th May at Liverpool Aquatic Centre.

With six other sides in the Championship in Group A – Bridgefield, Caledonia, Cheltenham, Northampton, WL Penguin & Worthing – the top two will make up the “Final Four”.

The Boys start their quest to make the cut against Grantham at 10.30am, followed by games against Sheffield 11.45am, Manchester 13.00pm, North London 13.50pm & Birmingham at 14.40pm

Our Boys squad for Sunday's Five games is:
Anthony Bartlett, Dusan Crompton, Matt Williams, Daniel Ryan, Luca Roberts, Parsa Zamani, Bertie Dix, Ed Carpenter, Owen Dorrington, William Fawcett, Aksal Gerhardstein, Ryan Cubitt.
