Saturday afternoon at Habs saw the start of the Winter League U16 Championship with the eight best London League U16 sides split into North & South Division.

Our U16's were in the North Division along side Colchester, Hitchin, Northampton & WL Penguin.

The format of the competition would see the top two sides from each Division alongside the best third place team move into Division One for the second half of the season and then a chance to play for the Division Championship title.

On Saturday our boys made easy work of winning the Division by beating Hitchin 12-1 in their opening game & then followed that up with the same scoreline in their second match against Northampton.

Our third game was against WL Penguin and a in a first half that saw the team score five unanswered goals that was the platform to go on and close out the game 8-2.

Our final game against Colchester followed the same theme with a first half 6-0 scoreline. A further three goals in the second half saw the team secure their fourth win at 9-0.

Overall a good days work with four wins, 41 goals scored and only 4 conceded.

Now onto Division One with five games to be played at Whitgift in late January & a further five games to be played at Habs in early March.

Our team for Saturday was:
Jeremy Rotenberg (GK), David Guzijan, Josh De Almeida, Bill Lau, Tom Broadwith, Noah Green, Lucas Fish, Ronan Rodrigo, Keanan Galian, Luka Guzijan, Zain Petchy-Zourdani, Noah O'Sullivan, Apostolos Menepasakos.
